Use it to collapse, hide, or show AI answer modules on supported search engines, label source quality in result pages, and keep a local receipt trail of SearchGate actions. It is built for people who want search to feel like search again without turning their search history into another backend dataset. What SearchGate does: Collapses or hides supported AI answer modules. Adds source-quality labels to supported result pages. Lets you choose Classic, Research, Builder, Privacy, or Custom modes. Stores local receipts in your browser and exports them as JSON or CSV. Uses signed rulesets so search controls can improve safely over time. Offers optional paid tiers through Stripe for sync and policy features. What SearchGate does not do: It does not collect search query text. It does not collect result snippets or page content. It does not collect personal identifiers for search telemetry. It does not send raw URLs to the backend. It does not sell personal data. SearchGate works on supported search-result pages where the extension has been designed to recognize AI answer modules and visible result sources. SearchGate is privacy-boundary software: the extension processes supported search-result pages locally, while the backend handles signed rulesets, anonymous extension entitlements, and optional privacy-preserving operational telemetry.
