Overview

Opens the "Search google for" search in a background tab.

This extension makes the new tab, that are opened by "Search google for" , open in the background instead of the foreground. It should now work for latest versions of Chrome. ### Important ### If it doesn't work. Go to the options page and follow the instructions. Make sure you have updated to version 0.0.7. LOVE this extension, would have gladly "bought a coffee" for this developer if I saw such an option. My only suggestion is I am not sure why, at least as far as I can see, there is not a setting from within the extension to get to the extension settings. However you probably won't need to access them.

Found this as I was searching for a replacement for a prior extension that will die when Manifest v.3 is mandated, works perfectly and if for whatever reason you've altered how the search expression is relayed to Google this extension will easily handle that.

Works great on Chrome 122 with extension version 0.0.7. Follow the directions on the extension's options page.
