Seamless Sync
Overview
Share a YouTube link and watch together over a direct peer-to-peer connection.
I wanted to make a YouTube syncing extension as simple as possible which also persists between videos, without creating any rooms or accounts. Click the 'Seamless Sync' button (which copies the link to the clipboard) under any video, share the link with a friend, and you're immediately synced up. What makes it 'seamless' is that the connection persists between videos and even the YouTube home page - click on the next video and your friend is pulled with you automatically, with no need to reconnect or share a link every time. Currently it's only built for one-on-one viewing only, not group watch parties, but may update it in future.
