Alt+drag any area of a page to search it instantly. Results appear right where you are, with no new tab.

Search what you see, without leaving the page. Hold Alt (Option on Mac) and drag over any part of a web page. The text inside that area is searched instantly, and the results appear in a small popup right next to your selection. No new tab, and you never lose your place. - Alt+drag to select a region; results appear beside it - Click a result to preview the page inside the popup (simplified reader view) - Keep several popups open, move them, resize them, and pin the ones you want to keep - Edit the search terms and search again - One-tap copy for the search terms and each result URL - Esc or a click outside closes popups - Available in English and Japanese BEFORE YOU START This extension uses the Brave Search API with your own API key (bring your own key). Create a Brave Search API account, add a card (Brave requires one for verification; a monthly free credit is included and usage beyond it is billed by Brave), and paste your API key into the extension's settings. Please check Brave's current pricing and terms. PRIVACY When you Alt+drag, the text found inside the selected area is sent to the Brave Search API, together with your API key, to get results. Nothing is sent when you don't use Alt+drag. When you click a result to preview it, the page is fetched directly from that site. Your API key stays on your device. No analytics, no ads, no developer-run server. Please avoid using Alt+drag over sensitive content such as webmail or banking pages.
