sctl Browser

Connects this browser to the local sctl daemon so sctl commands and MCP clients can work with its tabs and windows.

sctl Browser connects this browser to sctl, ScriptCat's local control tool, so the sctl command line and MCP clients (such as AI coding assistants) running on your own computer can work with your real browser, logins included. What it enables: • Tabs, windows and tab groups: list, open, close, move, pin, group • Bookmarks, reading list, history, recently closed tabs, downloads, cookies, browsing data and extensions • Page automation: accessibility snapshots, click, fill, press keys, upload files, take screenshots, run JavaScript • Debugging: console messages, exceptions and network requests of a page • Raw Chrome DevTools Protocol commands, or a CDP endpoint for running Playwright or Puppeteer against your logged-in browser How to use it: 1. Install sctl from https://github.com/scriptscat/sctl and run `sctl serve`. 2. Run `sctl connect` and type the one-time pairing code into this extension's popup. 3. Use commands such as `sctl tabs list` and `sctl page snapshot`, or add `sctl mcp` to your MCP client. Privacy and safety: • The extension talks only to the sctl daemon at the address you configure (default 127.0.0.1:8643), over a mutually authenticated connection. Nothing is sent to the developer or to any other server. • Deleting bookmarks and uninstalling extensions wait for your approval in the extension's own window. • While a page is being automated, the browser shows its standard "debugging this browser" bar. sctl is open source: https://github.com/scriptscat/sctl
