Scrollshot — Scrolling Screenshot
Overview
Capture beyond the screen. Redact, pixelate, annotate and draw, then export PNG, JPG or PDF.
Capture the part of a web page you need, even when it extends beyond the screen. Scrollshot lets you drag while scrolling, edit the captured image, and save it as PNG, JPG or PDF. The interface supports Japanese and English. Choose a language in Settings. FREE AND PRO Free includes unlimited region and full-page captures, annotation, PNG/JPG/single-image PDF export and image copy. Scrollshot Pro adds captioned documents, editable project saving, templates, batch site capture, image resizing/cropping and exact-size viewport capture. Pro is a one-time purchase: US$20. Pro sales are currently being prepared; new purchases are not available. Free extension availability is separate from the start of Pro sales. It requires a license key and internet access for verification. Existing project files can still be opened and exported without Pro. SELECT A SCROLLING REGION Drag toward the edge to scroll automatically, or use the mouse wheel while selecting. Adjust the selection with handles on all four sides and corners. You can also capture the full outer web page. CAPTURE AN INDEPENDENT SCROLL AREA On pages with several scrollable columns, start dragging inside the column you want to capture. Scrollshot follows that selected area. It does not expand several columns into one image at the same time. REDACT AND ANNOTATE • Cover an area with an opaque color. • Add a mosaic effect with adjustable block size. • Add text, including Japanese and multiple lines. • Draw freehand with your mouse. • Move and resize redaction areas; edit existing text and strokes. • Undo, redo, or delete individual edits. SAVE OR COPY • PNG for lossless image output. • JPG with an adjustable quality setting from 40% to 100%. • PDF split across portrait A4 pages, or sized to one image-shaped page. • Copy the edited image to the clipboard for pasting into compatible apps. PNG, JPG, PDF and clipboard exports contain the flattened edited image, without selection handles or editable layers. PDFs contain images, not searchable or editable text. PRO: BATCH CAPTURE AND DOCUMENTS Review same-origin URL candidates from the current page and up to four sitemaps. Select the pages to capture; Scrollshot opens them sequentially in the original tab. A batch supports up to 50 pages and 100 MB of source images. Discovery does not guarantee every page. Switching tabs cancels capture while preserving completed images. Reorder captured or imported images, add headings and descriptions, and export a captioned A4 PDF. Choose from ten designs, including Proposal, Editorial, Cards, Heading Bands and Steps, with a large width-based preview. Long images continue on following pages. PRO: SAVE EDITABLE WORK AND TEMPLATES Save original images, editable annotations, image order and captions in a password-protected .scrollshot file, then reopen it to continue editing. This file includes unredacted originals; use flattened PNG, JPG or PDF files for sharing. Forgotten file passwords cannot be recovered. Save annotation positions, text, colors and settings as a .sstemplate file without the screenshot, then apply it to another image. Templates can also specify a finished size, margins and image placement, and support application to multiple images with PNG/JPG ZIP export. New .sstemplate files are password-free JSON and can contain text and settings. Keep confidential information out of them and inspect them before sharing. Your selected template is retained locally in the browser until you clear the selection. There is no automatic personal-information detection. LOCAL PROCESSING The extension handles the page image, page title, and current capture target URL locally to provide capture and editing. It does not send captured images or edits to the developer or external services. Batch discovery requests sitemaps from the target site, and capture loads the selected pages normally. There are no analytics or advertising features. Pro activation and verification send the license key and a random browser ID to scrollshot.jp, without screenshots, annotations or visited URLs. Purchases use Stripe Checkout and an email-delivered license key. File export and clipboard writing happen when you click the relevant button. SUPPORTED PAGES AND LIMITS Scrollshot targets ordinary HTTP and HTTPS web pages. Browser settings pages, extension stores, the built-in PDF viewer, and desktop apps are not supported. Independent scroll areas inside iframes, virtual scrolling, and fetching every item from an infinite feed are not supported. Results may vary with the site's layout. Large outputs are reduced to a maximum edge of 16,000 pixels and about 32 million pixels in total. Very large selections must be captured in smaller parts. Unsaved edits cannot be restored after closing or reloading the editor. Mosaic effects can leave information recognizable. Use opaque fills for information that must be hidden, and inspect the output before sharing it. PRO: IMAGE SIZE, MARGINS AND ZIP EXPORT Resize output pixels, crop using handles or numeric values, and extend the canvas with transparent or white margins without stretching the source. Exact-size capture places a frame inside the visible viewport; it supports up to 8,000 pixels per edge and 16 million pixels. Sizes that do not fit the viewport are rejected. This is not AI upscaling. Save up to 50 images from the current editor as a PNG or JPG ZIP. Each image and output is limited to 8 million pixels, each source file to 20 MiB, and ZIP output to 100 MiB. Template batch application supports up to 20 images and 100 MiB of input per operation. These limits are separate from the 50-page website batch limit.
