Scrollshot — Scrolling Screenshot
Overview
Capture beyond the screen. Redact, pixelate, annotate and draw, then export PNG, JPG or PDF.
Turn the part of a web page you need into one continuous screenshot—even when it extends beyond the screen. Scrollshot lets you select while scrolling vertically or horizontally, add text and freehand notes, cover unwanted information, and save as PNG, JPG or PDF. Share research, explain a process, or annotate a website review. With Pro, turn even one screenshot into a captioned PDF, capture several pages from the same site, and reuse a consistent layout across images. FREE FEATURES • Select a region while scrolling vertically or horizontally, or capture the full outer page. • Capture an independent scrollable area inside a page, one area at a time. • Add opaque fills, adjustable mosaic effects, text and freehand drawings. • Move and resize edits, revise text and strokes, undo and redo. • Save PNG, JPG or single-image PDF files, or copy the edited image. No capture-count limit or watermark. PDF export itself is free. Switch between Japanese and English in Settings. SELECT BEYOND THE SCREEN Drag toward the edge to scroll automatically, or use the mouse wheel while selecting. Adjust the region using handles on all four sides and corners. On pages with several scrollable columns, start inside the area you want. Scrollshot follows that selected area; it does not expand several columns at once. ANNOTATE WITHOUT SWITCHING APPS Add multiline text, including Japanese, and change its color, size or position later. Adjust freehand strokes and undo individual marks. Point out a detail, explain an operation, or cover information before sharing the image. SAVE IN THE FORMAT YOU NEED Choose PNG, JPG with 40–100% quality, a PDF split across portrait A4 pages, or a single PDF page sized to the image. Copy the edited image for pasting into compatible apps. Standard PNG, JPG, PDF and clipboard exports contain the flattened edited image without editable layers. PDFs contain images, not searchable or editable text. PRO: FROM ONE SCREENSHOT TO A CAPTIONED DOCUMENT Open Documents in the capture editor, add a title and per-image headings and descriptions, and export an A4 PDF. Create a service introduction, step-by-step instructions or an annotated website review. Import additional PNG/JPG images and reorder them as needed. Choose from ten designs, including Proposal, Editorial, Cards, Heading Bands and Steps, and check the large preview before saving. Long images continue on following pages. PRO: CAPTURE SEVERAL PAGES FROM ONE SITE Review URL candidates from page links and sitemaps, then select the pages to capture. Scrollshot opens them sequentially in the original tab. A batch supports up to 50 pages and 100 MB of source images. Same-site capture requires the same protocol, host and port. It does not guarantee discovery of every page or automatically expand internal scroll areas. Switching tabs cancels capture while preserving completed images. PRO: CONTINUE EDITING AND REUSE YOUR WORK • Editable projects: save original images, annotations, order and captions in a password-protected .scrollshot file, then reopen it later. • Templates: reuse annotation positions, text, colors and settings, or a finished size, margins and image placement. • Image tools: resize output pixels, crop, add transparent or white margins, and capture an exact pixel size within the visible viewport. • ZIP export: save images from the current editor together as PNG or JPG. Apply templates to multiple images, too. Existing project files can also be opened and exported to standard formats with Free. Resizing is not AI upscaling. PRO: APPLY THE SAME CROP AND RESIZE SETTINGS TO MULTIPLE IMAGES Save a crop region and output pixel size in a template, then apply it to multiple images. Reduce repetitive editing when preparing product images or screenshots for instructions. • For images with the same dimensions, reuse the saved crop position and rectangle in original-image pixel coordinates. • For images with the same aspect ratio but different dimensions, scale the crop region proportionally while keeping the saved output pixel size. • For different aspect ratios, use a finished-size template: fill the frame and crop, fit inside it with margins, or place the image at its original size. Scaling preserves the aspect ratio. Batch application is a Pro feature for up to 20 images per operation. It replaces current image transforms and annotations while retaining the originals. It does not recognize subjects or automatically follow the same content across images. Check each result for cropped content and any information that should be hidden. GET PRO US$20, one-time purchase. No monthly subscription. Available from https://scrollshot.jp/?lang=en for customers in Japan and the United States. You need the license key delivered by email and an internet connection for activation and verification. LOCAL IMAGE PROCESSING Capture, editing and export run in your browser. The extension does not send captured images or edits to the developer or external services. Batch discovery requests sitemaps from the target site and loads the selected pages normally. Pro verification sends the license key and a random browser ID to scrollshot.jp, without screenshots, edits or visited URLs. There are no analytics or advertising features. Purchases use Stripe Checkout. CHECK BEFORE SHARING There is no automatic personal-information detection. Mosaic effects can leave information recognizable. Use opaque fills and inspect the exported image at a readable size for anything you missed. Editable .scrollshot files include original images from before cropping or redaction; do not share them as if they were flattened exports. New .sstemplate files are password-free JSON without screenshots, but can contain entered text and settings. Inspect them before sharing. Your selected template is retained locally until you clear the selection. There is no autosave. Unsaved edits cannot be restored after closing or reloading the editor. Forgotten project-file passwords cannot be recovered. SUPPORTED PAGES AND LIMITS For ordinary HTTP and HTTPS pages. Browser settings pages, extension stores, the built-in PDF viewer and desktop apps are not supported. Independent scroll areas inside iframes, virtual scrolling, and fetching every item from an infinite feed are not supported. Results depend on the site's structure and loading behavior. Large standard captures are reduced to a maximum edge of 16,000 pixels and about 32 million pixels in total. Exact-size capture must fit inside the visible viewport, with a maximum edge of 8,000 pixels and 16 million pixels. Editor ZIP export supports up to 50 images and 100 MiB total. Each source is limited to 20 MiB and 8 million pixels; each output is limited to 8 million pixels. Template batch application supports up to 20 images and 100 MiB of input per operation.
