Scrollproof
Overview
Make selected websites ugly and gray so they're less fun to scroll.
Scrollproof drains the color out of the websites you choose. Feeds stay readable but lose their pull, while the sites you actually need stay untouched. • Pick a filter per site: grayscale, washed out, inverted, or a color tint of your own. • Set one default for every website, then list the exceptions. • Keep parts of a site normal — a single YouTube channel, a subreddit, a docs path. • Match a whole family of domains (airbnb.*) or a whole suffix (*.edu). • On YouTube, keep the video itself in color while the rest of the page stays gray. • Turn any page back to normal for 15 minutes, an hour, or 8 hours when you need it. • Build your own schemes: intensity, invert (smart or classic), wash out, and dim. One click in the toolbar switches the current site between your filter and its original colors. Nothing is sent anywhere. Your rules live in Chrome's own storage and never leave your browser.
