Overview

Get back to the beginning of long pages with one click. Enable the sites you choose and keep a separate position for each.

Scroll to Top Button adds a floating control to the websites you enable. Once you move down a long page, a small round arrow appears; click it to glide back to the beginning. It stays hidden near the start and is off everywhere until you choose a domain. The control gives you a way back to the first post in a forum thread or the contents of lengthy documentation. You can leave it in a different spot on each website, so it need not cover the links or controls you use there. ⬆️ WHAT YOU GET • Return with a smooth upward motion instead of repeatedly dragging the scrollbar. • Choose one of nine positions in a visual preview, from upper-left to lower-right. • Keep a separate location for each enabled domain, remembered for future visits. • Reach the keyboard accessible arrow with Tab and activate it with Enter or Space, with a visible focus ring. 🔧 HOW IT WORKS 1. Open a website where you want a back to top button. 2. Click the toolbar icon and press "Enable on this site". 3. Pick a position in the preview, then move down more than 300 pixels. 4. Click the floating arrow to go back, or use the keyboard to reach it. To disable the extension somewhere, use the popup switch or remove that domain from the enabled-sites list. Changes to placement on an enabled domain are saved per site. Your preferences can follow you to other devices when browser sync is on. 💡 GOOD TO KNOW Can I move the arrow away from a chat widget? Yes. Open the position picker while visiting that site and choose another spot. Other enabled domains keep their own locations. Does it move panels inside web apps? It moves only the main document up. An app that keeps the window fixed and moves an inner panel will not return that panel to its beginning. It also cannot run on protected internal pages or the extension store. 🔒 PRIVACY No account is required. Storage keeps your enabled domains and placement choices; current-tab access tells the popup which website you are visiting. The control checks how far you have moved down without reading or uploading the document's contents.
