Scroll Sprout — a little less scrolling

Friendly reminders to take a break from Shorts and Reels. Custom timing, gentle or cheeky messages, and local-only usage totals.

Less scroll. More room to grow. Scroll Sprout gives you a friendly reminder when a short-video session goes on longer than you intended. Choose your reminder interval, pick a gentle or cheeky tone, and make a little room for a break. • Get reminders on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok feeds and video pages, and dedicated Facebook Reels pages. • Choose a reminder interval from 1 to 60 minutes. • Enjoy 24 message variations across two tones. • Snooze for five minutes, keep watching, or take a one-minute breathing break that pauses current videos. • Turn quiet reaction sounds on or off. • See today’s time totals for each supported platform. • Enable or disable reminders for individual platforms. Your settings and usage totals stay in your browser. No account, ads, analytics, or external servers. No browsing history or video titles are saved or sent to the developer. Scroll Sprout measures time on focused, visible supported pages, not individual swipes or actual attention. A paused video on a focused page still counts. Facebook support covers dedicated /reel/ and /reels/ pages, not videos embedded in the home feed. Breaks are voluntary; this extension does not block websites. Session progress restarts when a tab reloads. After installation, refresh any already-open supported tabs. Use “Try a reminder” in the popup to preview a reminder immediately. An independent extension, not affiliated with YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or their parent companies.
