Read the scriptures on churchofjesuschrist.org with text that fills your screen. The scripture pages on churchofjesuschrist.org show a narrow column of text, about 640 pixels wide, even on a large monitor. Scripture Study Formatter lets you choose how wide the text goes, and adjust the rest of the reading view to suit your eyes. What you can change: • Text width, from the site's column up to the full window • Text size, for the chapter title, summary, verses, and verse numbers together • Line spacing • Font: the site's font, a book serif, Georgia, or a clean sans serif • Theme: the site's colors, light, sepia, or dark • Hide the top header, the side arrows, or the small footnote letters • Focus mode, which hides everything but the text (Alt+Shift+F, or Option+Shift+F on a Mac) How it works: • Click the toolbar icon to open the settings. Changes show on the page as you make them. • Your settings are saved and applied to every scripture chapter you open, before the page appears, so there is no flash of the old layout. • It works on the Book of Mormon, Old and New Testaments, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, the Topical Guide, and other scripture chapters, in any language the site offers. • Footnotes, the contents panel, and chapter navigation keep working as usual. • Turn it off at any time with the switch at the top of the settings. Privacy: the extension collects nothing. It has no accounts, no analytics, and makes no network requests. Your settings are stored by Chrome and, if you use Chrome sync, follow you to your other computers. A copy of the same settings is kept in the website's local storage so pages can be styled before they appear. Scripture Study Formatter is an independent, unofficial tool.
