)Overview
Read the Bible offline (Louis Segond, ASV, Reina-Valera) and take a moment for the Word when your connection fails.
Read the Bible offline, and spend a moment in the Word when your connection drops. Scriptorium is a Bible in your browser: four texts included, a simple reader, your notes on verses, and a page that replaces the connection error with an invitation to read. No account, no ads, no tracking, and completely free. 📖 INCLUDED BIBLES • Louis Segond 1910 (French) • American Standard Version 1901 (English) • Reina-Valera 1909 (Spanish) • Original text: Hebrew (Old Testament) and Greek (New Testament) ✨ FEATURES • 📚 Clear navigation: a menu by testament, group and book opens one chapter at a time; the ← / → keys move to the neighboring chapter. • 📍 Pick up where you left off: your last position is restored when you come back. • 🔀 2nd Bible: the + button shows, under each verse, the matching verse of another Bible (by default the original text, Hebrew right to left or Greek) for interlinear reading. The × button closes it. • 🔥 The Holy Spirit is speaking to me: select one or more verses (click, Ctrl/Shift+click, drag or tap) to mark them. • 💬 Comments: add a comment to your verses, then reread, edit or delete it whenever you like. • 📋 Copy a quotation: copy the text, book, chapter, verses and Bible to the clipboard. • 🔁 Notes that follow the verse: a verse you noted in one Bible stays noted in the others, even where their numbering differs. • 🎨 Reading your way: light, dark or system theme; text alignment, font and size of your choice. • 🌍 Interface in French, English and Spanish. 🕊️ THE OFFLINE PAGE When a page cannot load because of an internet access problem (network down, site not found, timeout), Scriptorium replaces the browser's error with a page that invites you to spend a few minutes in the Word, with a button to try again as soon as the connection is back. Local sites and security errors are never touched. Can be turned off in Settings. 🔒 PRIVACY No data is collected or transmitted: no account, no analytics, no remote code. The Bibles are read from your device, your notes and comments stay there (nothing is sent or synced), and the clipboard is never read. The extension asks for two permissions: "storage" to save your preferences, position and notes, and "webNavigation" to detect that a page failed to load (the browser describes it as access to browsing history; the extension keeps none). 💬 AN IDEA, A PROBLEM, A BIBLE TO ADD?
