Overview

Clip any page, article or image straight into Scripe as a post or an idea.

Turn anything you read into your next LinkedIn post. Scripe Clipper saves articles, images, screenshots and LinkedIn posts straight into Scripe, the AI content platform for LinkedIn - so the thing you found at 9am is still there when you sit down to write. Clip it, and Scripe opens with the source, the image and anything you highlighted already filled in. You pick the profile there. Good for founders, marketers, ghostwriters and anyone building a personal brand who reads far more than they publish. FOUR WAYS TO CLIP • Hover - hold the cursor over a large image, an article card or a LinkedIn post and a small Scripe button appears. Click it to save an idea, or open its menu to start a post instead. • Toolbar - click the Scripe icon to clip the page you are on. • Right-click - clip a page, a highlighted selection, or a specific image. • Keyboard - press Ctrl+Shift+S (Cmd+Shift+S on a Mac) to save the current page as an idea without touching the mouse. Rebind it in chrome://extensions/shortcuts. BUILT FOR LINKEDIN, NOT BOLTED ON Hover any post in the LinkedIn feed and the clip captures the post itself - author, headline, avatar, body text, image, and the post's own permalink rather than the feed URL. Clip five posts in one scroll and you get five ideas that each point at the right place. Everywhere else on the web, a clip carries the page's canonical URL, its title (your selection wins if you highlighted something), the site name, the favicon, the preview image, the publish date and the author when the page declares one. On Hacker News, an "Add to Scripe" link is added to each story row; the clip points at the article and carries a link back to the discussion. CREATE POST OR SAVE IDEA Every clip is one of two things. "Save idea" files it on your idea board with its source attached, ready for the next time you are staring at an empty composer. "Create post" opens the composer with the capture already seeded. The hover button and the keyboard shortcut default to saving an idea, because a post you did not ask for is work you did not ask for. NO SIGN-IN INSIDE THE EXTENSION There is no login screen here and no API key to paste. The extension never talks to Scripe's API. It opens a scripe.io tab carrying the capture, and your existing Scripe session takes it from there. If you are signed out, you sign in once and the clip resumes where it left off. YOU DECIDE WHERE IT RUNS The settings page turns the hover button, the LinkedIn capture, the Hacker News link and the keyboard shortcut on or off independently, and keeps a list of muted sites where the hover button never appears. Changes apply to open tabs immediately. The hover button never appears on scripe.io itself, inside iframes, or on pages that are text editors. PRIVACY Scripe Clipper collects nothing in the background. It reads a page only when you ask it to clip that page, and the only thing it ever sends anywhere is the capture you triggered, to scripe.io. Your settings stay on your device. There is no analytics SDK, no tracking pixel, no remote code, and nothing is sold or shared with third parties. Scripe Clipper requires a Scripe account - start at https://www.scripe.io/clipper
