Scribiz: Video Transcript Generator

Open the video you are watching in Scribiz to get its transcript, summary and chapters. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X and Vimeo.

Get the transcript of the video you are watching, in one click. Press the Scribiz button on a YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X or Vimeo page. Scribiz opens in a new tab with the link already in the field. Press "Get transcript" there and you get: - The transcript, with timestamps - A summary and chapters - What was on screen, when you choose Watch or Both - Downloads as SRT, VTT, TXT, Markdown or JSON You can also right-click any link and choose "Get transcript with Scribiz". HOW IT WORKS The extension does one thing: it opens a scribiz.com tab with the link of the video. It does not read the page, it does not change the page, and it does not run in the background. Nothing starts until you press the button on scribiz.com. WHAT WORKS - YouTube: public videos, Shorts and finished live streams. Scribiz uses the captions when they are good and listens when they are not. - TikTok, Instagram, X and Vimeo: public videos, when the site lets our servers in. If a link is refused, upload the file on scribiz.com. - Private videos, videos that need a login and live streams in progress do not work. WHAT IT COSTS You can try Scribiz without an account: videos up to 15 minutes, 10 Listen or Watch minutes a day and 30 caption lookups a day. A free account has 30 minutes a month, for videos up to 2 hours. A video that already has captions uses a tenth of a minute per minute of video. Listening uses one minute per minute of video. Plans with more minutes are on scribiz.com/pricing. PRIVACY The extension collects nothing and sends nothing. It has no analytics, no account and no storage. Its only action is to open a scribiz.com tab with the link you asked about, when you press the button or the menu item. What scribiz.com does with a link is in its privacy policy: https://scribiz.com/privacy
