Scribe Text Editor

Exactly everything it tells you it is. This is for people who want a barebones notes app without all the bells and whistles. Simplistic, utilitarian, easy to use, each note requires little space (great for chromebooks since they come with low memory compared to other devices) low CPU usage, what more can you ask for? Google docs is good and all, but it can take a good chunk of ram just to run (not ideal for chromebooks that only come with 4 gb ram) On the other hand I can use this notetak... Show more

THE BEST TEXT EDITOR EVER!!!!

It looks nothing like the icon it just a white box booooring, I was hoping for a lined yellow pad

I've been looking for a simple notepad type editor for quite a while and this app seems to fit the bill. It does file - Save - Save As - and seems to find all my attached thumb drives and SD cards. This is just what I need. I also like that it doesn't ask for a lot or permissions.

Opens RTF files by default, but doesn't support the format.
