Screenshottr is a fast, fully local screenshot tool for people who capture and document web apps every day. Every capture happens on your own machine and saves straight to your Downloads folder. Nothing is uploaded, there are no accounts, and there is no tracking of any kind. CAPTURE MODES Element: hover to highlight any element, walk the page with the arrow keys (up to the parent, down into a child, left and right to neighbors), then click to capture exactly that element. Tall elements are captured in full from top to bottom with no cut-off bottoms. Rounded corners and shadows are kept, and any sticky or fixed bar that would overlap is hidden so it never lands on top of your shot. Full page: one clean pass of the whole page, top to bottom. No stitching seams, fixed headers appear once, and lazy-loaded content is brought in first. Pages taller than the browser limit are captured at a reduced scale instead of being cut short. Visible area: a plain screenshot of exactly what is on screen. Scroll container: pick any independently scrolling area such as a grid or a side panel and capture its full content expanded in place, including wide grids that scroll sideways. Record GIF: drag a region or grab the whole window and export an optimized looping GIF. BUILT FOR DOCUMENTATION Viewport presets keep every screenshot a consistent size across a whole set of docs. Capture scale of 1x, 1.5x or 2x gives you crisp images, and scaled files are named @2x or @1.5x so they drop into Figma at their true size. Device preview frames a page inside an iPhone, Pixel or iPad bezel. The demo editor lets you type over text, draw and hide or blur sensitive details before a shot, then save the cleanup as a reusable scene for that page. Hide scrollbars across every site, remembered until you switch it off. Auto-copy every capture to the clipboard. FULLY LOCAL Screenshottr never sends your captures, your browsing or any other data anywhere. There is no server, no analytics and no sign-in. Files are saved to a Screenshottr folder inside your own Downloads.
