Screenshot-er: Capture & Annotate

Capture full pages, annotate and redact, copy text on-device, and export screenshots with saved local history.

Turn a webpage or image into a clearer bug report, design note or how-to screenshot, without uploading it to an editing service. Screenshot-er captures the visible area, a selected region or element, or a full scrolling page. Mark what matters, crop to the right size, cover sensitive details, and save a local file or copy the result to your clipboard. CAPTURE AND EDIT • Capture the visible area, a selection or a full page. • Open a local image, start a whiteboard or try the bundled sample. • Add arrows, text, shapes, highlights and numbered steps. • Use Quick crop for a drag-and-release crop, or Adjust for dimensions and aspect ratios. • Use solid covers, blur or pixelation. For sensitive information, choose Solid and inspect the exported result. COPY TEXT AND KEEP YOUR WORK • Read English text from screenshots with the bundled on-device OCR engine. • Review recognized text before using it. If automatic clipboard access is blocked, open Show text and press Copy. • Search browser captures in local History and reopen their saved edits. • Pin captures to exclude them from automatic cleanup; set retention limits in Settings. • Local images, samples and whiteboards are temporary: export before leaving. Image exports do not save an editable project. EXPORT THE RESULT • Save PNG, JPEG or WebP, or export a paginated PDF. • Add backgrounds, padding, shadows and device frames with Beautify. • Export at captured resolution independently of editor zoom, within browser image-size limits. SCREEN RECORDING Record a tab, window or screen, with microphone or shared audio where the browser and operating system support it. Pause, resume and download the file. MP4 is used where supported, with WebM as the fallback. A system share sheet may be available for recording files. LOCAL PROCESSING, CLEAR LIMITS Screenshot-er does not host screenshots or create private sharing links. Copy or download a file, then choose where to share it using your own apps. Your chosen app controls access and retention. Screenshot content, recordings and OCR are processed locally. Theme preference may sync through Chrome. Optional Chrome on-device AI descriptions and translation need a compatible browser/device and may require browser-managed model downloads; core capture and editing do not require those models. History keeps original captures, including content hidden by edits. Export from the editor for the edited version. OCR and sensitive-data suggestions can miss content. Some browser-protected pages cannot be captured, and very large pages may be cut short with a notice.
