Screenshot Capture Studio is a local-first Chrome extension for capturing, editing, organizing, and sharing screenshots from Chrome. Capture the exact screenshot you need: - Capture the visible area of the current tab. - Choose Selected area, draw a region on the page, and capture only that area. - Choose HTML element to highlight and capture one same-document element or visible scrollable container, including a parent selected with Shift. - Capture a full page by scrolling and stitching it locally, including app-style pages that use their own content scroller. - Press Escape during full-page capture to keep the portion captured so far. - Open every capture in a local preview editor before export. Edit screenshots before saving: - Add arrows, text comments, rectangles, rounded rectangles, ellipses, and blur redactions. - Move, resize, restyle, or delete annotations before export. - Crop screenshots, undo or redo changes, and reset edits when needed. - Zoom and scroll large screenshots while keeping editor controls accessible. Revisit captures in offline History: - Automatically keep successful captures on this device unless History is turned off. - Reopen recent screenshots with your latest edits intact. - Keep up to 100 items or 250 MB; the oldest items are removed first. - Continue editing from the latest saved editor state without an account or cloud sync. Export locally: - Save edited screenshots as PNG, JPEG, or PDF. - Copy the edited PNG to the clipboard. - Use millisecond-precise, hostname-aware default filenames and local export metadata. Premium features: - Use one custom filename pattern for local saves and cloud uploads, with safe hostname, date, time, and capture-mode tokens. Hostname values omit the scheme, port, path, query, and fragment. - Capture visible areas, selected regions, or full pages from chosen tabs in a bounded bulk job. Tabs are captured one at a time and results stay local for group saving or individual editing. - Capture one highlighted HTML element or visible scrollable container and stitch its locally captured sections into one image when needed. - Connect Google Drive or Dropbox, choose a destination folder, and explicitly upload an edited PNG with clear upload progress. A provider share link is copied only when available. Attach edited screenshots to Linear issues when needed: - Connect Linear from Settings or the Create issue action. - Upload the current edited PNG and open linear.new in a new active tab with only the screenshot prefilled. - Complete the title and all issue details directly in Linear. Privacy-first behavior: - Screenshot capture, editing, clipboard, and export processing happen locally in Chrome. - Single-tab capture uses Chrome's temporary active-tab access. Premium bulk capture asks for optional all-sites access only when a bulk web capture starts and uses it only for the tabs selected in that job. - History stays in local extension storage and has no account, synchronization, or cloud backup. - The extension does not send screenshot pixels, page content, selected text, full page URLs, filenames, clipboard contents, or saved files to analytics. - Linear issue creation sends only the edited screenshot image after explicit authorization and the Create issue action. - Premium cloud upload sends an edited PNG and generated filename only after the user explicitly selects a provider and starts an upload.
