Screener Smart Research is a free stock analysis extension for Screener.in. It turns any company page on the Indian stock market, NSE or BSE listed, into a complete fundamental analysis workspace, built from the financial statements Screener already shows. Open a company, click the Smart Research button, and the analysis appears right on the page. It is meant for long-term and value investors who do their own equity research and want the ratios, checks and comparisons they would otherwise build by hand in a spreadsheet. WHAT YOU GET • 70+ financial ratios across liquidity, solvency, profitability, efficiency, cash flow, valuation and growth, each with its formula • Yearly and quarterly views, switchable across the whole workspace • Trend and comparison charts, with optional mean and median lines and 3, 5 and 10-year growth rates • A hover preview on every ratio row, so you can see its history without leaving the table • Export of the entire analysis to a single Excel workbook ANALYSIS TABS Overview • Ratio Analysis: the complete ratio set, grouped by category • Summary: the key readings from every other tab on one page Performance • Key Performance Metrics: income statement, margins, returns and cash generation laid out as a one-pager • Quarterly: trailing-twelve-month figures, quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year trends • Monthly Returns: a ten-year heatmap of the share price's return in every calendar month • DuPont: 3-step and 5-step ROE, ROA and ROCE broken into their drivers • Bank & Lender: offered only for banks and NBFCs, with returns, margins, cost ratios and asset quality Earnings Quality • Forensic: receivables and inventory against sales, cash conversion, accruals, other-income reliance, tax rate, and well-known scores such as Piotroski, Altman and Beneish Cost Structure • Common-Size: every statement line as a share of revenue or total assets • Cost & Per-Share: cost lines against sales, and per-share figures over time Capital • Capital Intensity: depreciation, capex against depreciation, and how hard the fixed assets work • ROIIC: return on incremental invested capital and the reinvestment rate over 3, 5 and 10 years • Capital Allocation: where the cash came from and where it went over five or ten years Valuation • Where past returns came from (earnings growth, re-rating, dividends), quick intrinsic checks, a reverse DCF that shows what the current price implies, and valuation history Ownership & Peers • Ownership: promoter, institutional and public holdings and how they have changed • Peers: the company beside the peers Screener lists, on the same ratios, loaded only when you open the tab Notes & Checklist • Your own notes on each company, with a checklist suited to its type (operating company, bank, NBFC, insurer or holding company). EXCEL EXPORT One click downloads the whole analysis as an .xlsx file: a sheet for every tab and view, yearly and quarterly, the full ratio set with formulas, and the statements exactly as read from Screener. Line and bar charts come across as native Excel charts that read the figures beside them, so you can keep working on them. BUILT FOR DAILY USE • Follows Screener's light and dark themes • Search box to jump to any metric by name • Settings to reorder or hide tabs and choose the tab that opens first • Keyboard shortcuts, which you can switch off • Handles banks, NBFCs and insurers separately from industrial companies, so it does not show ratios that do not apply to them • Clear about gaps: when Screener has no figure for a period, the cell is left empty rather than guessed, and rows that fail to load can be retried PRIVACY • No account, no sign-up, no tracking and no analytics • The extension runs only on Screener.in company pages • Calculations happen in your browser. Your notes and settings stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. • It requests only the figures needed for the page you are viewing, and paces those requests carefully • Permissions: "storage" (to keep your settings and notes) and access to Screener.in company pages.
