Turn Intune's "Begin a remote assistance session" action into a ScreenConnect launcher. If your device inventory lives in the Microsoft Intune admin center but your remote-control tool is ConnectWise ScreenConnect®, every session starts with the same ritual: copy the device name, open your Host page, paste, search, join. This extension removes that ritual. WHAT IT DOES • On any Intune device page, the "Begin a remote assistance session" action under Remote actions opens ScreenConnect for that exact device. • Search mode: opens your Host page pre-filtered to the device name. • Direct mode: goes one step further and automatically joins the matching access session. • The menu item is re-enabled and restyled to match the portal theme, so it works even when Microsoft's own remote assistance isn't set up. SETUP — ABOUT 30 SECONDS 1. Click the extension icon. 2. Enter your ScreenConnect base URL — hosted (yourcompany.screenconnect.com) or self-hosted on your own domain. 3. Pick "Search for device name" or "Automatically join session". Auto-join asks for one optional permission, scoped to exactly the URL you entered. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No analytics, no tracking, no external services — the extension makes no network requests of its own; it only opens your ScreenConnect tab. • Stores two settings (instance URL and launch mode), synced through your own Chrome profile. • Content scripts run only on the Intune admin center. GOOD TO KNOW • Device names must match between Intune and ScreenConnect for search and auto-join to find the machine. • Auto-join falls back to search mode until its optional permission is granted. • Works with ScreenConnect cloud and self-hosted/on-premises instances.
