Screencastify - Screen Video Recorder

Used to be a great screen recorder. The new version is awful!

Weird funky software. If your videos were full and you delete them it still counts them all to 10 so free plan is pretty bad. Don't even mention the video FPS!

Been easy for me to record the screen, this new version is painfully killing me.

I haven't needed to use it since its update, so I can't speak to that, but I found it incredibly useful when I was using it as a teacher during Covid with distance learning. Moreover, I've found the customer service to be incredible. Bar none.

Before a new update it's was great but after new update now become useless.

Since recent updates it's always saying "10/10 free videos recorded. Upgrade to keep recording!" even when I removed all videos. Just useless extension.

Absolute trash, before the updates it was actually pretty decent. But now, you can't even pause the video and edit it, now I end up using the Camera on my phone, which is better than this.

We paid for Screencastify for its ease of use, robustness, friendliness, but now, all of that is gone. What is left is the unfriendly, unstable new Screencastify. Our work is seriously impacted because teachers were trained to use screencastify but now, many of the teachers report that htey can't event start the extention, some say that their recordings disappear for no reason, some says that app keeps on spinning.
