Screen Video Creator turns screenshots and photos into short, professional explainer videos — all processed locally on your machine. HOW IT WORKS 1. Capture your screen or upload up to 5 photos 2. Add optional instructions to guide the AI (style, tone, focus areas) 3. Claude AI analyzes your images and creates a scene-by-scene video script 4. Remotion renders a polished MP4 video locally on your computer FEATURES • Screen Capture — one-click capture of any browser tab • Photo Upload — drag and drop up to 5 images for multi-scene videos • AI-Powered Directing — Claude Vision analyzes your content and builds a narrative with custom colors, scene types, and pacing • Custom Instructions — tell the AI what style, tone, or content to focus on (up to 100 words) • 7 Scene Types — title cards, screenshots, big text, bullet points, quotes, callouts, and endings • Dynamic Styling — AI picks colors, mood, and visual theme based on your content and instructions • Local Rendering — videos are rendered on your machine using Remotion, nothing is uploaded to the cloud • Multiple Formats — vertical (9:16) or horizontal (16:9), 10/15/20 second durations SETUP REQUIRED This extension requires a local Node.js server running on your machine: 1. Install Node.js (nodejs.org) 2. Download the server files from the project repository 3. Run: npm run setup && npm run server 4. Enter your Anthropic API key in the extension popup PRIVACY • Your screenshots and photos are only sent to the Anthropic API for analysis • Videos are rendered and stored locally on your computer • Your API key is stored in Chrome's local storage and never shared • No data is collected, tracked, or sent to any other third party REQUIREMENTS • macOS (for local Remotion rendering) • Node.js 18+ • Anthropic API key (console.anthropic.com)
