Screen Recorder Studio is an open-source, privacy-first Chrome extension for recording, editing, and exporting screen videos without a time limit. RECORD IN A FEW CLICKS Choose a browser tab, application window, or your entire screen. A clear countdown starts only after you select the source, so the system picker is not included in the recording. The balanced recording profile is designed for reliable Full HD capture at up to 30 FPS across a wider range of computers. EDIT IN THE BROWSER Open a recording directly in Studio and refine it on a responsive timeline: • Trim the beginning and end • Crop the frame precisely • Add smooth zooms and focus points • Adjust background, padding, rounded corners, and shadow • Preview edits before export EXPORT THE FORMAT YOU NEED Export your finished video as: • MP4 (H.264) for broad compatibility • WebM for efficient web video • GIF for short animated demonstrations Choose an export quality preset, resolution, and frame rate. Export progress is shown in the interface, and the finished file is downloaded to your computer. LOCAL-FIRST PRIVACY Recording, editing, and export run locally in your browser. Recordings are stored in the browser's local Origin Private File System and can be reopened from the built-in recording library. Your screen video is not uploaded to a server as part of the recording or editing workflow.
