Scrammerly is a personal AI writing assistant. Highlight text in any editable field and a ✨ button appears with rewrite options — refine in your personal style, fix grammar, simplify, make professional, or give a free-form instruction. A passive proofreader underlines spelling/grammar/punctuation issues as you type, with one-click fixes and a "Fix all" bundle. A proactive rewrite star (toggleable from the popup) offers a one-click paragraph rewrite after you pause typing. Includes a personal dictionary, custom style rules, text-expansion snippets (;name), writing-preference toggles, and CSV import for migrating from other writing tools. All AI processing uses endpoints the user configures themselves: a local Ollama server (fully private, on-device) and/or the user's own API keys (Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq, OpenRouter). The developer operates no servers and receives no user data.
