Removing Scite_

Hi - can you let me know how I can remove scite_ which appears when I am using my browser. I would really like to remove this but cannot see it as an extension or an installed app. Any help would be very much appreciated.

how to remove the scite banner from the website

Hi, I have the same problem as Mr Ahmed.
I never downloaded the web extension, but only signed once to the scite. Now the banner of scite is always there on all the website i visit. I do not have any extension active , however it continue to show and is annoying. Is there any way i can disable it

Not able to install

I am not able to install the Scite extension on Chrome browser and I am getting the error message "Package is invalid" 'CRX_FILE_NOT_READABLE'.

Failure to load Chrome extension

When I try to download and install your Chrome extension, it fails. I get a message that says An Error Has Occurred - Download Interrupted.

I have other extensions that I use in Chrome. Also, I have tried to disable some of them to see if they are interfering with the download, but nothing has worked.

Are there any known conflicts you know of?

Dear Support Team,

A critical vulnerability in “log4j” - a popular Java logging library - has been publicly disclosed and exploitation of this vulnerability allows attackers to take full control of affected systems remotely, and without authentication.

This vulnerability, publicly identified as CVE-2021-44228 and also known as “Log4Shell”, affects multiple products across the IT industry like the ones mentioned in this list.

I believe this only applies to Java and Apache but just to be on the safe zone, could you please confirm that this does not affect this plug in.

very large text "scite_" overlaid entire page

On pages where the chrome plugin detects a paper, I occasionally get the text 'scite_' in enormous font size overlaid on parts of the page. It scrolls along with the page content and is very annoying and clearly not intentional.

Chrome version 87.0.4280.88 on MacOS Mojave

Cannot use when set to read and change site data when click on extension

When using scite, I want to allow permission only when I click on the extension. However, it just gives me the same menu as when i right click the extension instead of activating it. I hope you make it so that i can us the extension on only the web pages i want and not having to give access to all my web pages
