🆕 WHAT’S NEW IN VERSION 1.3.3 — OCTOBER 5, 2026: • More accurate selections: horizontal captures no longer stretch, and captures inside translated or scaled containers have been improved. • Improved auto-scrolling: select areas at the edges of the chosen container and over modal dialogs. • More reliable stitching: fixed footers remain complete, even when the final capture segment is shorter. • Stronger PDF privacy: text covered by other page elements is excluded from the searchable text layer. • More precise freehand masking: continuous strokes during fast movements, with support for single clicks. • Consistent exports: pending changes must be applied or cancelled before exporting. The image and its associated data reflect the same editing state. • Improved HTML reports: the image is embedded only once, with fixes for scrolling long captures and viewing them at 100% zoom. --- Scionos Capture is a fully local extension for Chrome and Edge, designed to capture, annotate and export web pages while protecting your privacy. Developed and published by eyelo SA (Switzerland), under the ScioNos brand. 🚀 4 CAPTURE MODES: • Full page: automatic stitching across the entire height and width, including internal scrollable containers. • Visible area: instantly capture the currently displayed portion. • Custom selection: drag to select an area, with automatic scrolling. • Scrolling area: capture a vertical region across multiple screens, including chat windows and internal containers. Select using two points or coordinates, with a quick “To the bottom” action. 🎨 BUILT-IN ANNOTATION EDITOR: • Freehand drawing, semi-transparent highlighter (H) and directional arrows (A). • Geometric shapes — rectangles and ellipses — with outlines or fills (S). • Text annotations (T) and numbered steps (P). • Opaque masking and visual blur. Use an opaque mask to protect sensitive information; blur remains a visual effect. • Precise cropping. • Undo/Redo history (Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+Y) and zoom from 20% to 300%. 📄 EXPORTS: • PNG image. • Paginated PDF with searchable text and clickable links. • Masked, cropped-out or unverifiably visible text is excluded from the searchable PDF text layer. • Copy to the clipboard for pasting directly into emails or tickets. 🌐 STANDALONE INTERACTIVE HTML REPORT: • Save a capture as a standalone HTML file. • Built-in viewer with zoom, panning, copying, printing and PNG download. • Metadata: page title, source link, date, time and dimensions. • Works without an Internet connection or third-party hosting. 🖥️ COMFORT AND PRODUCTIVITY: • Support for high-resolution displays and Windows display scaling, including 125% and 150%. • Suggested shortcut Alt+Shift+C to open the capture menu on Windows and Linux, configurable in your browser. • Editing shortcuts: V, D, H, A, S, T, P, M, C, 0, + and -. • Temporary local storage in IndexedDB. • Captures remain available while a corresponding editor is open, including after reloading the editor. • Cleanup when the last editor closes, with expiration-based cleanup of orphaned captures. 🔒 PRIVACY AND DATA: • Fully local processing: no external servers, capture uploads, telemetry or advertising. • Your captures and the data needed to process them stay on your device. • No account required. 💻 OPEN SOURCE AND SUPPORT: • Source code and contributions: https://github.com/ScioNos/Scionos-Capture • Report bugs or suggest improvements through the project’s GitHub issues. 🌍 INTERNATIONAL: Available in French, English, Spanish and German, with a dark interface and a built-in language selector.
