Overview

Enhance Google Scholar profiles with h-index frontier analysis, citation changes, publication filters, and local history.

Schoolar+ adds deeper citation and publication insights directly to Google Scholar profiles. Google Scholar provides citation counts, h-index, and i10-index. Schoolar+ builds on these metrics by helping researchers understand their h-index frontier, explore their publications, and observe how their citation profile changes over time. H-index frontier analysis • See which citation-ranked publications currently define your h-index boundary. • Explore targets beyond your current h-index. • Calculate the minimum citation gains required to reach a selected h-index target. • Identify the publications that would need additional citations for that target. Citation change tracking • See changes in citations, h-index, and i10-index between locally stored snapshots. • View citation gains or decreases for individual publications. • Filter publications according to whether their citation counts increased, decreased, or remained unchanged. • Preview how citation-change indicators work without modifying your real citation history. Publication exploration • Number publications by citation rank. • Search loaded publications by title or metadata. • Filter publications by year, citation count, and citation change. • Explore citation distributions and publication milestones. Local history and snapshots • Maintain historical snapshots of profiles you choose to track. • Compare snapshots to examine changes over time. • Manage stored snapshots from the Schoolar+ Dashboard. • Export a Schoolar+ backup and import it into another browser or computer. Designed around your Google Scholar profile Designate one Google Scholar profile as My Profile to enable personal features such as automatic publication loading and citation-change tracking. Other public profiles can optionally be tracked without designating them as your own. Privacy-conscious by design Citation analysis and historical comparisons are performed locally in your browser. Schoolar+ does not require a Schoolar+ account and does not upload your locally stored citation snapshots to a Schoolar+ server. Schoolar+ enhances Google Scholar rather than replacing it. Its interface is designed to work alongside the familiar Google Scholar profile experience. Independent software Schoolar+ is independently developed and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google or Google Scholar. Created by Manuel B. Garcia.
