Review citation details including publication years, author names, titles, and journal metadata and identify references that may require further verification against connected academic databases. Key Features Multi-Source Reference Verification: Cross-references citations against public academic metadata sources, including Crossref, OpenAlex, and Semantic Scholar. Discrepancy Detection: Flags citation status via visual indicators: Match Found: Highlights records with closely corresponding publication details. Possible Discrepancy: Flags potential variance in fields such as publication year, author spelling, or title formatting. No Match Found: Identifies entries without matching metadata in the searched databases. Note: A non-match does not necessarily mean a publication does not exist. Retraction Alerts: Displays available retraction notices when provided in the records returned by supported metadata sources. Citation Formatting: Formats entries into standard styles, including APA (7th ed.), MLA (9th ed.), Chicago Author-Date, IEEE, and BibTeX. In-Text Previews: Generates sample in-text citation structures based on the selected style. Flexible Exporting: Exports bibliographies into Word-compatible documents, BibTeX (.bib), CSV, or plain text, with options for standard academic styling (hanging indents, double spacing, 12pt Times New Roman).
