Schema Atlas for Dynamics 365
Overview
Query Dynamics 365 data with your own sign-in: pick columns, expand related records, see where every value comes from. Read-only.
Schema Atlas helps anyone who works with Dynamics 365 find and understand data: developers, QA, admins, analysts and managers. Open it from any Dynamics 365 tab and query records with your own sign-in, without writing OData by hand and without an app registration. WHY PEOPLE USE IT Getting the right data out of Dynamics usually means guessing column names, hunting for lookup fields and writing $select and $expand by hand. Schema Atlas turns that into a few clicks and shows where every value comes from. INSPECT ANY RECORD • Click the icon on an open record (or press Alt+Shift+I) to see every field with its display name, its value and the table and column it comes from. • Lookups show the linked record's name. Click one to open that record, with a breadcrumb path back. • A relation map shows how the record connects to accounts, cases, products and anything else it points to. BUILD QUERIES WITHOUT WRITING ODATA • Find one record by ID, name or alternate key, or search with simple conditions. • Choose columns from a searchable list with real display names. Filter on choice fields by their labels, such as "Open" or "In Progress". • Tick related tables to bring their records into the same request ($expand), with their own columns. This works for lookups and for child tables. • Run FetchXML, or have it written for you from the builder. • Copy any query as a Web API URL, Xrm.WebApi JavaScript, FetchXML or Power Automate settings. • Export results to CSV. Recent queries are kept for one-click reuse. UNDERSTAND THE DATA MODEL • Plain-language descriptions of every table: what it holds, who owns its records, its lifecycle, its money and rollup columns, and its role in the model. • Every column explained, with its type and meaning. • A relationship diagram per table, a map of your custom data model, and a path finder that shows how two tables are connected. • "JSON explained" lists every key in a Web API response and what it means. SAFE BY DESIGN • Read-only. Schema Atlas only sends GET requests. It cannot create, change or delete anything. • It uses your existing Dynamics sign-in in this browser, so you see exactly what your security roles allow. • Requests go only to the Dynamics 365 environment you are using. Nothing is sent to the developer or any other service. • The schema is cached in your browser so later starts are instant. Works with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and other model-driven Power Apps environments (Dataverse) on *.dynamics.com. Schema Atlas is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft. Dynamics 365 is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation.
