Great simple app!! Works well. It's nice that you don't have to set anything up.

The app work well and I use printer HP DESKJET 2700 SERIES

Works amazing with my HP InkTank Wireless over wifi. One thing that I would like to see though is being able to change which scanner to use.

worked with epson 2760 wifi, had tried many things and only scan worked. puts files in sub-folder 'scan' in downloads (note: need to open download folder to see it)

Scan worked with our Canon LiDE110 scanner but needs a multi page option just like my Ubuntu SANE document scanner app!

This app is very good for scanning my schoolwork from home. It worked great as long as you don't have too many files in the "Scan" section.

It was time for my once-yearly scan so I ran the HP Smart app (normal printing doesn't need it) and clicked the scan option. Now it wants to call home-base first? Since when? Ok, I logged on with my previous details, and 2 hours later it's still a spinning circle. - 2 times yesterday, and 2 times today! Works great. I've been a Chromebook user for years but was always annoyed at having to boot my PC to scan from my Epson ET-2550. This app was simple to use, intuitive and works seamlessly. I was somewhat surprised to see the rather low overall rating.

Useless. Yet another app that promises that a USB scanner will work on a Chromebook, and like the others, it never delivers.

It's tough to find a scanning app for Chromebooks that doesn't require all sorts of messing with your network (at the very least) but the SANE (appropriately named) open-source project seems to be aiming to fix that. My printer wasn't listed on their site (http://www.sane-project.org/) as one that has been tested, only as one that should work as it's similar to others in the same family (Canon G-series Pixma).
