ScamDir Companion — Scam Reporter & Detector
Overview
Report fraudulent sellers, fake shops, and scam posts directly from Facebook and social media to Scammers Directory.
ScamDir Companion helps online shoppers and community moderators spot, verify, and report scam sellers directly from Facebook to Scammers Directory (scammersdirectory.com). If you frequently shop online or moderate consumer groups, you know how common fake pages, advance-payment traps, and cloned shops have become. ScamDir Companion makes documenting and sharing scam evidence fast and structured, without forcing you to manually copy-paste details across multiple tabs. WHAT IT DOES • One-Click Facebook Ingestion When browsing public Facebook groups or seller pages, click the "Report to ScamDir" button directly on a post. The extension reads the post content, grabs attached screenshots (payment receipts, chat logs), and pre-fills the report. • Key Detail Extraction Automatically pulls phone numbers, mobile wallet numbers (bKash, Nagad), transaction IDs (TrxID), seller names, and loss amounts into clean report fields so you don't have to retype them. • Instant Community Warning Once a report is submitted, you get an official dispute reference ID along with a ready-to-paste warning reply. You can paste it straight into the Facebook comments to alert other buyers before they send money. • Seller Lookup Side Panel Keep the ScamDir search panel open beside your browser feed. Check whether a phone number, page, or bank account has existing complaints before transferring any advance payment. • Screenshot Proof Capture Capture and attach transaction slips, courier slips, or chat records directly to your report to preserve evidence. WHO IT IS FOR 1. Everyday Shoppers: Verify Facebook pages, cash-on-delivery policies, and bKash numbers before paying. 2. Group Admins & Moderators: Quickly log flagged posts in community buy-and-sell groups to maintain public records. 3. Victims of Online Fraud: File organized reports with evidence so others don't fall for the same seller or phone number. HOW TO USE IT 1. Install the extension and pin it to your browser toolbar. 2. Sign in to your Scammers Directory account (or browse as a guest). 3. On Facebook posts describing a scam, click the "Report to ScamDir" button. 4. Review the auto-detected details, confirm, and submit. 5. Copy the generated warning snippet and drop it into the Facebook comments to warn others. PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS • ScamDir Companion only extracts information from posts when you explicitly click the report button or search for an entity. • It does not read your private messages, personal profile, or browsing history outside of the actions you trigger. • Submitted reports are hosted publicly on scammersdirectory.com to protect online consumers.
