Scam messages are everywhere: a warning that your bank account will be blocked, a fine you supposedly have to pay today, a parcel that is "on hold", a prize you never entered. One tap on the wrong link can empty a bank account. Scam Link Guard checks the links and messages in your chats, email and social feeds, and warns you before you fall for a fake. ★ FAKE WEBSITES It recognises websites that pretend to be your bank, a payment app or a government service — including look-alike addresses, brand names glued onto unrelated websites, and sites that are already on a public list of known scams. A link that shows one address but secretly opens another is flagged too. ★ SCAM MESSAGES, EVEN WITHOUT A LINK It spots the tricks scammers use in messages: asking you to share a one-time password or PIN, telling you to "enter your PIN to receive money", threatening you with arrest over a video call, or offering easy money for simple online tasks. It understands English, Hindi and Hinglish. ★ CHECK ANY MESSAGE FROM YOUR PHONE Got a suspicious SMS? Paste it into the extension to check it, or right-click any link or selected text and choose "Check". ★ OPTIONAL PROTECTION ON EVERY WEBSITE If you turn it on, you get a full-page warning when a website asks for your banking or card details while pretending to be an organisation it isn't. ★ CLEAR WARNINGS Risky links get a red or amber badge — hover to see why. Clicking a dangerous link shows a warning screen before anything opens. Every warning includes India's 1930 cyber-crime helpline. Warnings are available in English and Hindi. ★ PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything is checked on your own computer. Nothing you read, paste or click is sent anywhere.
