Sayword is a spell-checker for people who find spelling hard. It is designed with dyslexic writers in mind, and it recognises words spelled the way they sound. When you type "becos", "Wensday" or "mised", Sayword knows you mean "because", "Wednesday" and "missed". Feedback is welcome. WHAT IT DOES • Checks spelling as you type in email, web forms, comment boxes and other text fields. • Explains each suggestion in plain language, with the word broken into syllables and a tip for remembering the pattern. • Separates likely mistakes from words worth a second look, so you decide what to change. • Fixes one word, a few you choose, or all likely mistakes at once. Ctrl+Z undoes a fix. • Keeps your formatting in rich editors such as Gmail: bold text, links and line breaks stay as they were. • A personal dictionary for names and words you use. • US or UK English. • A small badge shows the number of suggestions and opens the full panel when you want it. The panel stays clear of the text you are writing and the Send button. • Pause Sayword on any website from the toolbar button. Your writing never leaves your device. • Sayword Pro checks your trial or license with the Sayword license server, using a random install ID (and your license key, if you have one). Your text is never included. • Settings and your dictionary stay in your browser. • No analytics, no ads, no selling data, and no AI training on your text. • Voice dictation uses Chrome's speech recognition, which sends your audio to Google. It runs only when you start it. GOOD TO KNOW • Google Docs is not supported inside the document, because Docs draws its text in a way extensions cannot check.
