Save to Maki

Save images, pages and links from your browser to Maki boards. Requires the Maki desktop app.

Save to Maki sends what you find on the web straight to your Maki boards. Maki is an infinite-canvas notebook for references, notes and files that lives on your desktop (Windows and macOS). This extension is its companion: it needs the Maki app running on the same computer. Get Maki at https://makiboard.com WHAT YOU CAN SAVE • Images: right-click any image → "Save image to Maki". • Links and pages: right-click a link or the page, use the toolbar button, or press Alt+Shift+S. • Whole pages as boards: "Turn page into a Maki board" lays out the article's text and images, tidy and readable. • Pinterest: hover a pin and click "Save to Maki" to keep the largest version of the image. On a board page, import every pin at once. Pick the board, add a note and tags from the toolbar popup. Large-image rules for Pinterest, X and Instagram keep the full-size picture instead of a thumbnail. PRIVATE BY DESIGN The extension talks only to the Maki app on your own computer (127.0.0.1), protected by a pairing key. No account, no cloud, no analytics, no tracking. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else. MAKI CLOSED? Saves wait safely in the browser and are sent as soon as Maki opens. The badge shows how many are waiting. SETUP 1. Install Maki from https://makiboard.com and open it. 2. In Maki: Settings → Browser extension → Pairing key → Copy. 3. Click the Maki button in your browser toolbar and paste the key. Done.
