I was using an extension called "forever pinned" but it got the Google store message warning: "This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions." it does what I would like it to do, except I have one caveat: the ability to designate to launch my saved tabs upon opening Chrome, and on that note, only on the first window I open. this is what "forever pinned" did and I am so used to it, that it would be nice to see that implemented ... Hi Megan π Thank you for detailed feedback and review! π₯° I do have a ticket for that exact funtionality here π π https://github.com/connormaglynn/save-pinned-tabs-browser-plugin/issues/8 π I'll update on here once it's implemented - so you don't have compromise your productivity when using the extension! π₯³ π UPDATE: That feature has just now been released Megan! π Make sure you're updated to the latest version of the plugin 0.3.0 (or later) - and you should see a new option when editting a saved group, to allow you to set that group as your preffered group to load on startup! π₯³ Hopefully you can now use the extension as you intended! π

I was using "Save Pinned Tabs" extension, but now that comes with the Google store message warning: "This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions." I used the native Chrome Tab Groups for the last 3-4 months. But, the fact that it dynamically adds and deletes tabs to and from the group made the whole process messy. I might want fewer or more tabs in a group in that moment, but I don't want it changing the contents of the group f... Show more
Hi David π Thank you for the great feedback and for raising this issue! π€© You're absolutely right, and this is defiently a bug with the current implementation! π I've created a ticket to address this issue here https://github.com/connormaglynn/save-pinned-tabs-browser-plugin/issues/9 π§ I'll update you here when that fix goes live - and hopefully you can use the extension as you intended! ππ₯³π π UPDATE: That's all fixed now! πΎ Make sure you've got version 0.2.3 (or later) of the plugin installed and you should be able to use seperate windows and the plugin seamlessly πͺπͺπ π π
