Save Image As

Download a right-clicked image as PNG, JPG, or WebP.

Save Image As helps you save images from the right-click menu as PNG, JPG, WebP, or the unchanged original file. Right-click an image, choose "Save image as", and pick a format. If the image is on a site the extension has not used before, Save Image As opens a local access page that shows the exact site address. After you click "Allow access and save", the browser shows its normal permission prompt for that site. The image is handled on your device, inside the browser. The extension downloads the selected image, prepares it at its original pixel size, converts it to the chosen format when needed, and saves it through the browser's downloads system. Settings let you choose the interface language, JPG and WebP quality, the background color used when saving transparent images as JPG, the file naming style, error page behavior, and site access. You can also turn on an optional tool for downloading images used as CSS backgrounds. If the CSS background image tool is on, clicking the extension icon checks the current page for background-image links and lists them in a popup. Previews are not loaded automatically; they appear only when you ask to preview a specific item. The Original option saves the source file without changing it. Animated WebP files stay animated when saved as WebP or Original. GIF files can be converted to animated WebP using the bundled local WASM encoder. Other conversions may save only the currently decoded frame. SVG files are converted locally when the browser can read them as images. Privacy first: no analytics, no telemetry, no remote code, no external APIs, and no browsing history collection.
