FEATURES Convert and save a selected web image using its right-click menu. Open “Save image as”, choose an output option, then select the file name and destination. Processing happens locally in your browser. You can export a still image, create a single-page document, make an icon up to 256×256, or choose the animation-preserving option. No account or additional software is required. The extension contains no advertising or analytics. FAQ Can I preserve animation? Choose “GIF (preserve animation)”. Existing files in this format are copied unchanged, including their metadata. Other supported sources retain animation when Chrome can decode their frames. Unsupported decoding produces an error. Re-encoding reduces colors, replaces transparency with white and may adjust frame timing. Other output options export a single still frame. Will transparency be preserved? Output options that support transparency retain it. Opaque outputs use a white background. What kind of documents and icons are created? Documents contain one raster image on a single page, without editable text or vector content. Icons preserve aspect ratio and transparency, and smaller images are not enlarged. Some older icon readers may not support the resulting file. Are my images uploaded? Conversion happens on your device without uploads to a developer-operated server. Retrieving a remote image sends a request to its source server, which may receive your IP address and browser-permitted cookies. The extension does not maintain a persistent image history. Chrome may retain cache entries and download records. Why does the extension ask for website access? Access is optional and requested for the selected image’s hostname and scheme, including CDN sources. Declining stops processing. Granted access covers that hostname’s paths and ports and may persist until revoked or the extension is uninstalled. You can manage access in Chrome’s extension settings. The extension does not scan pages or collect browsing history. Are all images supported? The source must be accessible to the extension and decodable by Chrome. Protected images, page-owned blob URLs and redirects to another host may fail. Local file URLs are not supported. What are the limits? Chrome 116 or later is required. Source images are limited to 50 MiB and 40 megapixels; output files to 32 MiB. Animation encoding is additionally limited to 4 megapixels per frame, 200 frames and 100 million pixels total. Fetching has a 30-second timeout, still-image decoding a 15-second timeout, and animation processing a 30-second budget checked between encoding steps. One conversion runs at a time.
