Overview

Salesforce Nexus: check user access, search Setup, and navigate your org faster — admin & developer productivity in one toolbar.

Salesforce Nexus helps you understand and navigate your own Salesforce org faster, directly in the browser. ACCESS X-RAY Pick a user, a record, and optionally a field, and see exactly why that user can or can't read or edit it. Nexus checks record-level access, object permissions, and field-level security, and shows which Profile, Permission Set, or Permission Set Group is responsible for each result — click through to open that Profile, Permission Set, or Permission Set Group directly. SETUP SEARCH TOOLBAR A small toolbar appears on your org's pages once you're logged in, with fuzzy search across Setup pages (Flows, Profiles, Permission Sets, Object Manager, and more), plus live search for Profiles, Permission Sets, and Flows by name. Pin the quick-launch buttons you use most, choose icon-only or icon-with-label, and open a command palette instantly with Ctrl+Shift+P (Cmd+Shift+P on Mac). RECORD STUDIO Inspect any record's fields in a clean table — API name, label, data type, length, and value. Double-click a value to edit it inline. Editing is limited to sandbox orgs; viewing works everywhere, including Production. ADDITIONAL TOOLS Run Apex tests and review results, browse deployment history with pass/fail breakdowns, view and filter debug logs with syntax highlighting, and compare user permission sets side by side. Write actions (running tests, deleting debug logs, assigning permission sets) are restricted to sandbox orgs as a safety measure. HOW IT CONNECTS Salesforce Nexus uses the Salesforce session you're already logged into in your browser — there's no separate login, no Connected App to configure, and no data leaves your browser except in direct calls to your own Salesforce org's API. Salesforce Nexus is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Salesforce, Inc.
