Salesforce Metadata Tracker
Overview
Track Salesforce org metadata changes, compare orgs, and deploy selected metadata between open org sessions.
Salesforce Metadata Tracker is a Chrome extension for Salesforce developers and admins that stays available on your org tabs via a floating control you can drag anywhere. Use it to: Capture changes manually — log created or updated fields, flows, Apex, LWCs, and other metadata against a user story or task, then export or paste into Jira, Salesforce, Asana, and similar tools View live org metadata changes — see what changed in the signed-in org, with filters, column search, and date sorting (newest first) Compare & deploy between orgs — open two Salesforce sessions, compare by type, select differences, go to a deployment screen, validate or deploy, optionally run specific Apex tests, and export a package ZIP or CSV report It helps teams keep change logs current, plan deployments with clearer diffs, and share release details without relying on Git alone for day-to-day metadata tracking.
