Overview

Export Salesforce Flow Version Comparison results to an XLSX based on a template.

Export Flow comparison results from Salesforce into Excel. Salesforce’s Compare Flow Versions feature is great for reviewing changes — but if you’ve been asked to export those results for release notes, approvals, audits, or documentation, you’ll quickly find there’s no easy built-in way to do it. That’s where Salesforce Flow Comparison Exporter comes in. This Chrome Extension helps Salesforce admins and developers export Flow version comparison results into a clean, structured XLSX report based on a template — so you can share changes with stakeholders without screenshots or manual copy/paste. 🔍 What It Does: Exports key information from the Flow Compare screen into Excel, including: Selected Flow API Name and Version X / Version Y Comparison Summary & Results (e.g. analysis time, statuses, counts) A filterable list of Comparison Changes (Label, API Name, Change Type) Optional capture of View Details content for deeper context (when Salesforce provides it) 📄 What Gets Exported: Comparison Descriptors X Flow API Name X Flow Version Y Flow API Name Y Flow Version Comparison Summary & Results Analysis Time Version Y Last Modified Date Version Y Last Modified By Version X Status Version Y Status Added Items Updated Items Changed Connectors Removed Items Comparison Changes Label API Name Change Type Change Details (optional) ✅ Works With: Salesforce Lightning Flow Builder Compare Versions view for Flows Added / Updated / Removed items Changed connectors 🚫 Not Currently Supported / Notes: Salesforce Classic (Lightning only) “View Details” content is only exported where Salesforce exposes detailed comparison information (some rows may not have details — for example, removed items often don’t have a meaningful diff) Output is based on a template for consistency — ideal for documentation and audit trails ⚙️ Why It’s Useful: Salesforce makes it easy to see Flow changes — but not to package them into a shareable document. This extension turns Flow comparisons into a repeatable report you can: attach to a change request / ticket include in release notes share with QA, CAB, or stakeholders store for governance and audit evidence Whether you’re managing Flow changes weekly or documenting a production release, Salesforce Flow Comparison Exporter saves time and keeps your reporting consistent. 🔐 Privacy & Permissions: The extension runs locally in your browser and exports only what’s on-screen in the Flow Compare UI. It does not send your data anywhere externally. It uses the Downloads permission only to generate the XLSX export.
