The native UI gives you no search, no dates, 25 rows per page, one checkbox at a time, and no way to know if a component is newer in your target org. Change Set Helper fixes all of it, right inside Setup — Classic and Lightning both supported, tested on very large orgs. Nothing is sent to any third-party server. The cookies permission is used solely to read your Salesforce session so the extension can call the Salesforce Metadata API as you; OAuth tokens for target orgs are stored locally in your browser. The optional downloads permission (off by default — enable it from the toolbar popup) is used only to save your exports with meaningful filenames.
