The tree has a large, tall trunk with a grayish-brown, slightly rough bark. On the trunk grow many large clusters of flowers and round fruits, not growing at the top like many other trees but growing directly on the trunk - a very typical feature of the Sala tree. The Sala flowers are pink mixed with red, thick petals, unique shape like a dragon's head or unicorn's head, in the middle of the flower there is a prominent yellow and white pistil. Interspersed between the flowers are clusters of round, brown fruits, like small coconuts. Around the tree is a green campus, with many other trees, it seems to be a park or temple grounds.
