Unlike other proxy or VPN extensions that require you to sign up for a service, SafeBrowse puts you in full control — you supply the proxies, we handle the rest. --- 🔍 WHAT IT DOES SafeBrowse acts as a proxy manager directly inside Chrome. You add your own proxy servers (HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, or SOCKS5) to the extension, and with one click, all your browser traffic is routed through them. When you disconnect, your browser returns to its normal direct connection. Every time you connect, SafeBrowse picks a proxy from your list at random and verifies the connection by confirming your exit IP address. Download a pre-filled template file directly from the extension to use as a starting point for your proxy list. ✔ Auto-Connect on Startup Optionally connect automatically every time you launch Chrome, so you are always protected without having to open the extension. ✔ WebRTC Leak Protection Disables non-proxied UDP connections while the proxy is active, preventing your real IP address from being exposed through WebRTC. ✔ Light & Dark Mode Icons The toolbar icon adapts to Chrome's theme — dark lines on a light toolbar, light lines on a dark toolbar — and switches between connected and disconnected states so you always know your connection status at a glance. ✔ Works on Windows and Linux Tested on both Windows and Linux versions of Chrome, with platform-specific import methods for the best experience on each. --- ⚙️ HOW IT WORKS 1️⃣ Open the extension and go to Settings 2️⃣ Add your proxy servers (manually or by importing a file / pasting a list) 3️⃣ Click the power button to connect 4️⃣ SafeBrowse selects a proxy at random, sets it as your browser proxy, and verifies the connection 5️⃣ Your exit IP and location are displayed so you can confirm the proxy is working 6️⃣ Click again to disconnect and restore your normal browsing connection --- 📋 PROXY FORMAT Proxies can be added manually through the form or imported in bulk. The supported text file format is: scheme://username:password@host:port Examples: http://myuser:mypassword@192.168.1.100:8080 socks5://proxyuser:secret@10.0.0.50:1080 http://203.0.113.10:3128 Lines without a scheme default to HTTP. Lines without credentials are treated as open proxies. Your proxy credentials are saved locally in your browser and never sent to any external server operated by us.
