Safe Scroll
Overview
Prompt-configurable on-device page content rating using Gemma 4 E2B (ONNX, WebGPU).
Safe Scroll is a privacy-friendly web safety companion that helps families support healthier, safer browsing for children. It uses local AI to gently highlight or blur sensitive web content before a child engages with it. It uses the open-source Gemma 4 E2B model to scan webpage text and images locally on your computer, then highlights or blurs content that may be inappropriate, sensitive, or worth discussing with a child. Because the AI runs locally, page content is not sent to external moderation servers and browsing data never leaves your device. Safe Scroll helps parents equip their kids with a proactive browsing companion without constantly checking or poking through their browsing habits. This can make online safety feel more supportive and less invasive, while still giving parents a configurable way to guide what their child sees online. Parents can customize the moderation prompt, choose balanced or strict screening, enable text and image scanning, and view live stats about processed content and sensitive findings.
