Overview
Shows a confirmation before sending email during your night hours. Never reads your mail. Never talks to a server.
Safe Night Check is a Chrome extension that gives you a moment to pause before sending an email late at night in Gmail. When you try to send an email during your configured nighttime hours, a confirmation screen appears. Before the email is sent, you can choose again whether to send it now, return to the draft, or use Gmail’s Schedule send feature. Safe Night Check does not block nighttime email sending. The final decision always remains with you. 【Key Features】 ・Nighttime send confirmation → Displays a confirmation screen when you try to send an email in Gmail during your configured nighttime hours. ・Three available actions → Choose from “Return to draft,” “Use Schedule send,” or “Send now.” ・Safer default selection → “Return to draft” is selected by default on the confirmation screen. ・Schedule send guidance → Shows you where to find Gmail’s Schedule send button on the screen. ・Custom time settings → Set the start and end times during which the confirmation screen is displayed. ・Day-of-week settings → Apply the feature every day, on weekdays only, or on selected days of the week. ・Supports overnight time ranges → You can configure time ranges that cross midnight, such as 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. ・Pause for tonight → Temporarily disable the confirmation screen for the rest of the night when needed. ・Turn the feature on or off → Enable or disable the extension at any time from its settings screen. 【How to Use】 1. Install Safe Night Check. 2. Open the extension settings and choose the hours and days when you want the confirmation screen to appear. 3. When you try to send an email in Gmail during the configured hours, the confirmation screen appears. 4. Choose “Return to draft,” “Use Schedule send,” or “Send now.” 【Privacy】 ・Does not read email content → Safe Night Check does not use the contents of your email body, subject line, or recipient fields to make its decision. ・No data sent to external servers → Email content and extension settings are not sent to the developer’s servers. ・Uses only the current time and your settings → Whether the confirmation screen appears is determined using the current time, day of the week, and your saved settings. ・Stores settings only → Your configured hours, selected days, on/off status, and related preferences are stored in Chrome storage. If Chrome Sync is enabled, these settings may be synchronized between devices signed in to the same Google Account. 【What This Extension Does Not Do】 ・It does not forcibly block nighttime email sending. ・It does not analyze email bodies, subject lines, or recipients. ・It does not rewrite email content. ・It does not send email content to external servers. ・It does not schedule emails by itself. ・It does not determine the recipient’s location or time zone. ・It does not check for incorrect recipients or confidential information. “Does this email really need to be sent right now?” Safe Night Check is not a tool for stopping nighttime emails. It is a small confirmation step that gives you a chance to think again and make your own decision immediately before sending. 【Supported Site】 Gmail https://mail.google.com/ 【Supported Languages】 Japanese English
