Safari Bookmarks Sync keeps your bookmarks synchronized between Safari, Google Chrome, and Firefox using a user-configured Cloudflare Worker. Keep Safari as your primary bookmark organizer while accessing the same bookmarks across your desktop browsers. KEY FEATURES • Cross-browser bookmark synchronization Sync bookmarks between Safari, Chrome, and Firefox using a shared synchronization service. • Preserve Safari folder organization Bookmarks are organized according to Safari's folder structure. Synced bookmarks appear under the Safari Bookmarks folder in Chrome. • Two-way synchronization Bookmarks added in the designated Chrome synchronization folder can be synchronized back to Safari through the companion macOS application. • Synchronize deletions Bookmark deletions can be propagated across connected browsers and Safari. • Accidental deletion protection Large-scale deletions require additional confirmation to help prevent unintended data loss. • Automatic synchronization Keep bookmarks updated automatically without manually exporting and importing bookmark files. • Bookmark backup A backup of your Chrome bookmarks is created before the initial connection. • Self-hosted synchronization Connect to your own Cloudflare Worker. Synchronization data is stored in your configured Cloudflare environment. HOW TO GET STARTED 1. Set up a Cloudflare Worker using the project instructions. 2. Install the Safari Bookmarks Sync companion application on your Mac. 3. Connect the macOS application to your Worker. 4. Generate a pairing code in the macOS application. 5. Install this Chrome extension. 6. Enter your Worker URL and pairing code to connect. 7. Your bookmarks will begin synchronizing automatically. REQUIREMENTS • Google Chrome 116 or later • A Mac running the Safari Bookmarks Sync companion application • A configured Cloudflare Worker synchronization service IMPORTANT NOTES Safari is the primary source for bookmark names and folder organization. Changes to bookmark organization should be made in Safari. This extension requires the companion macOS application and a configured synchronization service.
