Safa is a clean, privacy-first ad blocker for Chrome. It quietly blocks ads, trackers, and intrusive overlays so pages load calmer and read easier with no accounts, no sign-in, no sync, and no telemetry. WHAT SAFA DOES • Blocks ads and trackers using Chrome's declarative network rules, the blocking happens inside the browser engine, so Safa never reads or receives your browsing history. • Removes intrusive overlays (cookie banners, pop-ups, and sticky banners) with conservative cosmetic cleanup that aims not to break the sites you use. • Respects your choices with a per-site allowlist, a custom blocklist, and four selectable blocking profiles. • Stays local: your settings live only in your browser and never leave your device. BLOCKING PROFILES Pick a preset from the popup or the options page ie Normal, Strict, Nepali News Strict, or Custom. Every profile applies Safa's full ad, tracker, and Nepali-site ruleset with cosmetic cleanup; Custom lets you pair it with your own allowlist and blocklist. Finer per-profile tuning is on the way. PRIVACY BY DESIGN Safa collects no browsing history, no URLs, and no usage analytics. Your allowlist and blocklist are stored locally in chrome.storage.local and are never transmitted. Ad and tracker blocking runs on Chrome's declarative rules, so the extension itself makes no external requests with your browsing data. There is no account and nothing to sign in to.
