SaaS Manager Plus Extension gives IT teams visibility into the SaaS applications employees actually use, including applications that were never officially approved or managed. Organizations often cannot see every SaaS application and web service being accessed across their teams. That gap makes it hard to spot unauthorized tools, manage subscriptions accurately, and understand real application adoption. The SaaS Manager Plus Extension addresses this by working quietly in the background, collecting browser history metadata such as URL, domain name, and visit timestamp, and sending it to SaaS Manager Plus periodically. SaaS Manager Plus then analyses the URLs and domains in that data to recognize known SaaS applications, map domains to applications, and categorise them. Applications that are accessed but not officially approved or managed are flagged as Shadow IT candidates, giving IT a starting point to review, rather than an automatic block or takedown. The extension also tracks usage patterns, including how many users access a given application and how frequently, feeding two reports inside SaaS Manager Plus: a Shadow IT Report showing discovered and unapproved applications, and a User Activity Summary showing which applications each user accessed, usage duration and frequency, and historical activity trends.
