Saar is an AI usage coach for Claude.ai. It shows you exactly how much you are spending on tokens, how full your conversation context is, and when starting a fresh chat will give you sharper answers.

 What Saar shows you:
 - Real-time token count and cost for every message you send and every response you receive
 - Per-conversation health: healthy, degrading, or critical, based on how much context you have used relative to the model's effective recall window
 - Pre-submit estimate: see the token cost of your draft before you hit send, including images and PDF attachments
 - Weekly cap usage bar with a projected exhaustion date if you keep your current pace
 - For Pro and Enterprise users: month-end spend trajectory with confidence tiers and your top three conversations by cost.

 How it works:
 Saar runs entirely in your browser. It intercepts the live response stream from claude.ai, counts tokens locally using the official Claude tokenizer, and displays the results in a non-intrusive overlay and a Chrome side panel dashboard. Nothing is sent to any server we operate. There is no backend.

 Why I built it:
 Platforms that sell compute have no incentive to help you use less of it. Saar is the workflow layer that helps you notice when a conversation is rotting, when an attachment is going to cost more than you expect, and when you are about to blow through your weekly cap.

 Privacy:
 - All token counting happens in your browser
 - No conversation content, identifiers, or analytics are sent to any server we operate
 - The extension uses optional host permissions: nothing reads your claude.ai data until you explicitly click "Enable" - You can revoke access at any time from chrome://extensions

 Permissions in plain language: 
 - Storage: persists your settings and conversation history locally on your device
 - Tabs: detects which claude.ai tab is active so the dashboard shows the right context
 - Scripting: injects the token counter into claude.ai when you grant access
 - Alarms: cleans up stale per-tab data
 - Unlimited storage: allows conversation history to grow past Chrome's default cap
 - Side panel: opens the dashboard in Chrome's side panel 
 - Optional access to https://claude.ai: granted only when you click "Enable"
