S’mile Trip Planner turns the collegiate hackathon page you are already viewing into a clear, route-only travel plan. On the Major League Hacking season schedule, S’mile adds a Plan trip button to every official event card. On another collegiate hackathon website, click the toolbar icon to read that active page’s public event details. Choose the event, allow current-location access or enter a ZIP code, city, or address, and tell S’mile whether self-driving is an option. S’mile checks live public-transit routing and, when requested, live road routing. It puts the fastest available route first and follows it with clear alternatives and step-by-step instructions. S’mile shows routes only. It does not show fares or prices, book travel, or charge the user. Privacy is explicit and narrow. The extension reads only the public event details needed for the selected trip. It does not access your browser history list. It reads the active page only after a toolbar click, except on MLH season schedules where event buttons are added automatically. It does not read cookies, passwords, accounts, private messages, or form entries. Precise location is requested only after an in-product disclosure and a user click, is used for that route request, and is not stored by the extension. A typed starting point and self-drive preference may be kept in Chrome local storage for convenience.
